Privacy & Takedown
← FeedPlain-language summary for usedprompts.com. This is a best-guess description of how the site works today — not legal advice.
Cookies & tracking
We aim to run with no cookies and no ad / analytics trackers for as long as we can. There are no user accounts and no third-party ads.
Your own votes are kept in your browser (localStorage) so your likes stay on this device. Each vote is also sent anonymously to our server, which stores only the card id, the vote (like / dislike / skip) and the time rounded to the minute — no IP address, browser details, cookie or identifier, and that endpoint is excluded from our server logs. Your IP address is held in memory for a few minutes only, to stop vote flooding. Our CDN, Cloudflare, processes connection data under its own policies.
So you don't see the same cards again, your browser also keeps a short list of the cards you have already seen (up to about 1,000 short card ids) and the time of your last visit, in localStorage on this device only. This list is never sent to our server or anyone else; it is only used in your browser to pick which cards to show next. Clearing this site's data in your browser (or private browsing) removes it.
What data is on the site
- Prompt cards — republished “used prompts” (text + result media) with links back to the source when we have them.
- Votes — anonymous tallies (like / dislike / skip). Aggregates become a public like_score used for ranking overlays. We do not ask for your name or email to vote.
Takedown / removal
If you believe a card should not be here (copyright or other rights), email [email protected].
Please include:
- The card URL, prompt id, or slug
- Your relationship to the work (author, rights holder, etc.)
- Your preferred action (remove, hide, correct source link, …)
- A way to reach you, and any links that show the original
A human reviews the request. If approved, the Removal step tombstones or removes the card from the live feed. Details of the internal pipeline live in our ops docs — not on this page.
